ABOUT THE PLAY:
In the final days before D-Day, the fate of 350,000 troops hinges on a single forecast. Pressure is a gripping historical drama based on the true story of Scottish meteorologist James Stagg, who must convince General Dwight D. Eisenhower to delay the Allied invasion due to a looming storm—despite the confident prediction of fair weather from American forecaster Colonel Irving Krick.
As tension builds inside the war room, Pressure explores the burden of leadership, the clash between science and instinct, and the extraordinary cost of getting it wrong. Full of intensity, wit, and humanity, this is high-stakes theatre based on real-world events.

CHARACTER BREAKDOWN:
GROUP CAPTAIN JAMES STAGG (M, 40s–50s)
Scottish. Rational, cautious, and under immense stress. Balances scientific duty with personal concerns.
GENERAL DWIGHT D. EISENHOWER (M, 50s–60s)
Commanding, thoughtful, and burdened with history-altering responsibility.
COLONEL IRVING P. KRICK (M, 40s–50s)
American. Charismatic, confident, and media-savvy. Stagg’s opposite in method and personality.
KAY SUMMERSBY (F, 30s–40s)
British/Irish. Eisenhower’s driver and aide. Poised, observant, and emotionally intelligent.
DR. ANDREW (M, 30s–50s)
Military doctor. Steady, kind, and concerned for Stagg’s health and stress levels.
